Campers have the opportunity to experience life away from camp on several levels depending on age, interest and skills. Every cabin group goes on an overnight with their counselor and another group. Overnights can be both on and off site. We own two islands on the lake which make excellent sites for overnights. Hikes include the Ouareau River, Lookout Mountain, Mt. Sourir, Montagne Noire and Fôret Ouareau just to mention a few.

There are two levels of canoe trip qualifications - the first for tripping on our lake (lots of places to go and things to see) - the second for wilderness tripping into Papineau Labelle and La Verendry Provincial Parks for 3 to 5 days. Canoe and hiking trips are on an individual choice basis - you trip with people of your own age and level - thus are not bound to a certain trip by the experience, (or inexperience) of a cabin mate
