Directors
 
Camp Ouareau has had five sets of directors since it was established in 1922. Mable Jamison and Ferna Haliday were the founders. Then Miss Dorothy Percival took over the camp. In around 1950 Miss Joyce Bertram ran the camp for twenty years. In the early 1970's Mrs. Madeleine (Ferg) Allen owned and directed the camp.

The Raill Family of Directors

Jacqui Raill became director in 1992. She has been a staff member of Ouareau since 1975. She worked her way up through the camp ranks staring off as assistant head of tripping. Her many position included counsellor, assistant head of tripping, unit head, program director, office manager, assistant director and associate director. She is currently a co-owner of Camp Ouareau with her husband Don Raill

She volunteers her time to the QCA (Quebec Camping Association) the CCA (Canadian Camping Association and the ICF (International Camping Fellowship). She was the vice president of the QCA, is presently the Quebec respective to the CCA. Her biggest project right now for camping is that she is the program chair for the upcoming ICC 2008 congress to be held in Quebec City in October 2008.

Don Raill has been a staff member at Ouareau since 1976. He is the head of maintenance at the camp. In 2006 he won the Building & Design Project Award for his incredible work on the camps climbing wall and the extension on the dinning hall. Mr. Raill is a licensed carpenter, whose interests and skills are evident through out the camp. He keeps the camps rustic and historical look as well as maintaining an up-to-date facility. He is currently one of the owners of camp Ouareau as well.

Gabrielle Raill has been a staff member at Ouareau for 12 years coming up through the ranks from counselor, to Head of Kayaking, Head of Tripping, Unit Head, CIT Director and is presently the Assistant Director. She is a graduate of Humber College in Recreation. Gabrielle also has her B.A. from Concordia University in Montreal in Human Relations. While pursuing her B.A she worked with Dr. Raye Kass of Concordia, where they developed a team-building program for NASA in California , USA . She is a volunteer on the conference committee for QCA's annual conference, ICC 2008 and World Leisure. She volunteered this past fall at World Camps in South Africa at their camp, Camp Sizanani . In February 2007 she was awarded the OCA's Ron & Mickey Johnstone Youth Leadership Award
