Head North from Toronto and in a little over an hour you will get to Midland - you are almost there - then swing west to Penetanguishene (White Rolling Sands), turn left at Tim Hortons, down the hill towards the lake, along a bit and then up the long, long hill of the 15th Concession. Turn in at the black mailbox, 900 feet and around the corner and this is what you will see!

We have a wonderful view from the top of Lafontaine Hill.
This is the view from our living room window (Milo in the foreground). The rocks are part of a wonderful fence which runs across half of the property. There are others like it on each boundary - a testament to the incredible amount of work done by the farmers who opened up the land. If you let your eye travel down the snow path behind the dog you will see a black line of low trees - that is the western edge of the property. Beyond is farmland and Notawasaga Bay (part of Lake Huron) is on the horizon. Hidden in the haze are the Collingwood and Blue Mountain ski hills across the bay. |
